I still remember that day, the day you left me standing next to that wooden door,
A smile on your face and a fake hug from someone I used to adore !
You hugged me while holding a knife between your hands,
Now my hands are the ones filled with blood caused by the wrath beneath my eyes.
I close my eyes and picture the little details, because you know ! It’s there where the demon lies !
Lies, high expectations, a love that was left behind, or should I say, left INSIDE.
I still remember the words coming out of your mouth, filthy lies again and again.
And of course ! The famous dramatic goodbye when you didn’t say “farewell”, it was a “see you again” !
Three words capable enough of holding a hope, three words capable enough to chatter a soul,
Three words replaced with One wouldn’t kept that big of a hole.
And I still wonder whenever I close my eyes, would it be different if I knew it then, if I knew that it was the last Goodbye ?
